The name Sunflower is a combination of the founder Wong How Wah and her late husband. Madam Wong bring up her children by selling layer cakes. At first she selling the cake to friends, since the respond was so good, she decided to go into business and set up a cake house in year 1996 at Tanjung Bunga. Now it has another cakes house in Hutton Lane.

Besides layer cake, Sunflower also provides birthday cake, wedding cake and homemade cookies. The entire product without preservative and less sugar.
