Royal Selangor Penang Visitor Centre
By the late 1800s, Malaysia had become the world’s largest tin producer, supplying more than 50% of the world’s tin. Royal Selangor Penang Visitor Centre located at Straits Quay, this is the second visitor centre in Malaysia and the third worldwide where visitor can experience pewter in an interactive manner and learn about the brand’s history and heritage of design and fine craftsmanship. This visitor centre measuring 3.816 sq ft over two floors, lower floor is showroom and gallery on upper floor. Visitor can enjoy free guided tours of the Gallery. If you are interested, you may join “ The school of Hard Knocks” using traditional tools to make your own pewter bowl.
