Ghee Hiang Sesame oil and Tau Sar Pheah are famous in Penang and known by most tourist. This company originated from Fujian, China since 1856. At the beginning the founder invited a Fujian pastry chef to Penang and started the pastries business. Beside Tao Sar Pneah, they also provide Beh The Saw, Phong Pneah, Hneoh Pneah, Oriental Almond Cookies etc.
In year 1930, Ghee Hiang Baby Brand pure sesame oil was introduced, using methods and techniques learned from Fujian, China. Today Ghee Hiang sesame oil had become a famous brand name for uses ranging from households, food industries, restaurant to healthcare.
